I related to this one way too much, for most of this book.

I if ws honest with myself i would not give this book five stars. But because of how hauntingly sad the prose was i was feeling as empty as Esther Greenwood. This is one of those books that I could not thoroughly get my head around because I think that my inexperienced mind can not comprehend, process and empathize the sort of problems that a person faces when they are an adult. It is definitely one of those books i have to read again to see if i can get the feel of when the right time comes.

I tried to read this once before and I had been unable to. I suppose it hadn’t been the right time.
For me, it was the right time to attempt to reread it. And, with such a hopeful story, with such an inspiring mantra of I am, I am, I am, as she listens to the beat of her heart, it breaks my own that Sylvia Plath felt that hopelessness and that there was no other way out. She has inspired me to continue on living and to continue on my path of healing and of growth, through her work The Bell Jar.
