3.5 Although I don't usually pick up/enjoy thrillers, I do make exceptions for psychological thrillers. I found this very intriguing. It was tricky to get through to start, because of the writing style and the tedious introduction and Theo's character. But I was soon able to fly through this.
Although my inkling for the twist was correct, I enjoyed picking up the easter eggs and clues that the author put in. I thought it did well to slowly develop up until the reveal, and the ending worked by giv ...more

This book was wonderful! I liked the premise from the get go and the ending was truly shocking. The "silent patient" was very intriguing and while I never really felt a connection with her, I had to know what happened that made her snap. I loved the twists and how it made you think you had it all figured out just to completely prove you wrong. The characters weren't super relatable and I did get bored with it at parts but overall this was a solid thriller. Definitely worth a read and you can pro

Just finished the Silent Patient. Wow, reading this novel is like riding a cart that’s about to go down a hill. It starts out a little slowly but starts to pick up pace and by the end is just zooming. The first chapters I wasn’t sure about it, but given all the positive reviews I gave it a few more chapters (they aren’t very long) and man am I glad I did.

Wow! This was an excellent thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Did Alicia really kill her husband? Well, all we know is that she hasn’t spoken since that night and has been found guilty and is now in a psychiatric hospital where Theo is now working.
Yes, Theo is her psychiatrist. The ever eager, I think I can get her to talk to me therapist. The one with his own issues to deal with. This one will leave you trying to figure out right up until the end who killed Alicia’s husband. ...more

I was actually nervous to read this book because I was afraid it might be over-hyped, but I have to say... it really is that good.
It’s difficult to talk about thrillers without giving away spoilers, so this review may seem vague, but if you’re intrigued, just know that I fully believe it’s worth picking this book up!

There were a lot of things I really enjoyed about this book, but the execution and lack of development in some areas left me a bit underwhelmed. However, the perspectives in the story are compelling, but I didn’t find myself as hooked as many people were. Perhaps the most interesting thing about this book is that it raises the questions: what if a professional one relies on, is just as mentally unstable (or even more so) than they are? Can you truly help someone if you, yourself are broken? All

So, I got this book in a giveaway ages ago. It was the very first ARC I ever received, and kept slipping down my TBR pile, likely because I am primarily a fantasy/sci-fi reader. However, when I finally did get to it, I was so glad I did - not just because it helped break me out of a rut, but because it is one hell of a story.

This was such a good physiological thriller! And with the short chapters it felt like a fast read. There were so many things I feel like I should have picked up throughout the book but didn’t realize how it was connected until the twist at the end. The plot was written very well, and I enjoyed the writing style as I never wanted to put the book down. I liked how the story was told through Theo’s POV but with some of Alicia’s diary entries. It made it feel like she had a voice even though she was

Oh my word, I can’t even wrap my head around what I just read! I’ve seen such high praise for this book, and it did not disappoint. This book will completely boggle your mind!

This book is so amazing that I couldn't put it down, it made me feel numerous emotions such as stress and dismay for Alicia Berenson. The writer begins by describing Alicia's chaotic situation, she was sentenced to prison for allegedly murdering her husband. After several years in prison she stopped talking, because of that she was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. In this place a new recruit, Theo Faber, narrates the events, he is a well-known psychotherapist, he has Alicia as a patient. He w
