This is one of my favourite novels written by Nicholas, mainly because as well as including most of his trademark styles of stories but it also adds in a touch of mystery/thriller.

What I loved the most about this story is the plot. You have Julie whose husband dies and beyond the grave he gifts her a Great Dane who soon becomes her 'Guardian'. I am not sure whether there is something 'magical' going on here but I did get the impression that the Great Dane could have been her ex-husband has come ...more

"The Guardian" is Nicholas Sparks' seventh book. It is completely different than his first six books. It is a love story plus a thriller filled with danger and suspense. It even has a dog as one of the main characters. The book started out a little slow, but then all of a sudden the plot thickened and twists and turns started happening. to be completely honest I had read one of sparks other book and it was required that i get a book so i just picked it . I can not believe just how much i loved this book! it was fantastic always kept me guessing and there was a lot of suspense the whole book wondering just what would happen. a totally amazing book .
