It's been several years since I originally read The Notebook. In fact, as much as I liked the movie, something about its release kind of put me off on both versions. It's clear this is one of his earlier works and in a sense it works for this tale of pure untainted love. Despite everything, time, distance, life.. the characters of Allie and Noah love each other in the purest and most sacred of ways.

The Notebook is a beautiful, romantic love story. It makes you realise how precious the people you love, are (as good love stories do). The story follows Noah and Allie in their love for each other. It is not told chronologically. It's an easy to read story and not that long, that could be a plus to some people.
