Excellent! Griffith’s first novel won a Lammy and Tiptree award. If you don’t think you like science fiction, try this one. I did have trouble getting into it. The thing with sci fi (or fantasy) is that you are quite literally in an alien world and it takes time to get acclimated. This is worth sticking with because once you’re in, you are quite thoroughly stuck. Griffith creates an amazing world, and I would have enjoyed it better if I’d known there was a glossary and cast list at the back. Sig

I can't help but to feel a bit disappointed with this book. It started interesting enough, and yes, it stays that way for a travelers point of view, the search for a new place, for new things to see and new knowledge to acquire, is quite appealing, and can be always linked to the search of yourself. But in any other respect, the book just seems to lose its purpose half way into it. You find yourself trying to identify what is the point of all of it, and you are left without an answer. It seems l
