This was my favorite book back in sixth grade, which is high praise, as it was assigned reading. I must say, it was a great choice on the part of my teacher; it had adventure for the boys, romance for the girls, and enough history to make it really educational. Lately, I've finally gotten my kids interested, and though each has complained of some slow sections, they really do like it. I love it.
