Ela descobre e a coisa descamba... Ele torna-se pirata e ela uma senhora q ...more

What an amazing book! I am never disappointed when I pick up one of Eloisa's books. Theo is one of those characters that you can not help but to relate to. How many times have we looked out ourselves and made comparisons to the Ugly Duckling? Most romance novels have the perfect English rose type girl and I love how she has stepped out of that mold and made someone realistic. James is a man that sees beyond what lies on the surface and appreciates Theo for the beauty that she holds within. Even

Reading Eloisa James' romance novels are a treat I allow myself after finishing books that are either a challenge to get through, or are emotionally disturbing (We Need to Talk About Kevin). This is the 4th in her "Fairy Tales" series. For me, it is always a quick and enjoyable read. While not my favorite in the series, I always find pleasure in her books.

One of Eloisa's Best!
I had the amazing opportunity to read an e-Galley of "The Ugly Duchess." I think it is the best of her fairy tale series so far!
The book is a take on Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale, " The Ugly Duckling." I do not want to summarize the plot for you and give anything away. So I will just say that this is a must read for anyone who loves romance!

Another amazing book by Eloisa James! I loved the dialogue between Daisy and James, so quick and witty. This is writing at it's best!

So disappointed. What a lousy feeling I have now. Who wants to say that after reading a romance? The beginning was the only good part of the book. Theo deserves a much better story and hero. Is it too much to ask that a strong interesting woman not be humiliated by the man who is supposed to love her?

Wonderful story but I felt it repeated itself far too much. I think the sex scenes were way too long and like they were written to simply "fill in" and make the book longer.
