What Members Thought
Memphis tells the story of 3 generations of a southern Black family, focusing on the lives of the women and their connections with each other and their community. The book spans the 1930s to early 2000s. Though their lives are full of trauma and pain, we also see a richness in the love and support of their family and community. A difficult and compelling read. Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a preview copy.
