Thrilling, twisted, unexpected and completely enjoyable!
There was a lot of hype for this book going in and I was not disappointed. I know some people say they saw the twist coming but I certainly did not until close to the end. So many intriguing characters that all seem plausible suspects. I’ve been reading a lot of books with doctor patient dynamics but this is better than most. 5 stars
The definition of a page turner. I was completely drawn into the stories of both Theo and Alicia, the patient. I wanted to know why she refused to speak and I was very satisfied with the explanation. I also loved the twist - although I always thought this character was strange, I never suspected them. I also loved the pacing and snappy chapters. For fans of psychological fiction with big twists! A great start to 2025. Not sure if anything else I'll read this year will top it.
