Dante's Lady commences with the demise of the Eleventh Earl of Ravensmoor, Nathan Burroughs. Tormented by images of a love that he lost decades prior, the man pleads upon his deathbed with his grandson for one simple favor, to await the return of his lady. Desperate to appease the man, the grandson agrees to await the return of the Raven's Lady, despite the passage of time, and vows to assign the quest to each of his heirs.
