Persuasion is one of Jane Austen’s later novels. She wrote about the satire of society and its effects on the chance of marriage.
Synopsis:
Anne Elliot has listened to friends and family when it comes to the men in her life. Should marry them or not? I've read three Jane Austen novels so far: Pride and Prejudice, Emma, and Persuasion. Of the three, Persuasion is by far my favorite. It's much more serious than the other two, but I find Persuasion's quiet pacing, mature characters, and tender love story right up my alley. This is definitely one for my reread list.

I think that one reason I really enjoyed this book was that the main characters were slightly older than most of Austen's. They had some life experience that they were bringing with them. Anne is almost too perfect, but I still liked her and was rooting for her.
