5+ stars. This book is perfect; I see why it is on so many essential reading lists. Completely deserved.
What I had troubles with is the marketing of the trade paperback. There are a couple of book review pull quotes that compare the book and the attorney author to Atticus Finch/To Kill a Mockingbird. I find this troubling and disrespectful as the latter character and book are works of fiction; it is minimizing the real work and sacrifices of this real person.
