I really wanted to love this book as much as I did her earlier novel but I just didn't connect with this one quite as much. She's a great writer and puts together a fantastic story. Yet, this one didn't have the magic that I was hoping to experience. So well written and such a nice little book ... but it just wasn't quite what I'd hoped!

It took me a while to get into the dual narrative of this book and I got sidetracked a lot, but it is another quiet but lovely book by Ms. Joyce. Not as powerfully moving as The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry (her debut and a book I rated as 5 stars), but a good book nonetheless.
