I am struggling with rating this novel which I liked but don't feel was as good as I'd hoped so I went with 3 over a 4 but it's really more of a 3 and a half for me. I enjoyed the read and the concept but the execution wasn't quite as good as I'd hoped. I felt that the execution of the unique concept was a bit lacking. There were also some pacing issues for me. In the end, those things made this one not quite as memorable as I'd hoped. I suspect this is one that I will not remember down the road

Based on premise alone, this looked as if it was going to be a great read. Time travel as a side effect to electroshock therapy sounded intriguing, but it just fell flat for me in terms of execution. Wasn't a fan of this. Not particularly well written and the premise felt a bit jaded.
