At this point in my life, I am pretty well convinced that everything Neil Gaiman writes is made of the magical fabric of the universe and that whatever flying spaghetti monster is managing things out there either created him specifically to tell stories, or is using him as some divine vessel.

This was clearly not a book meant for me. The main character was a little boy who had no idea what was happening to him or why it was happening. I was clueless as well. I’m all for world building and coming of age tales, but this one did not hit home for me.
