The only nit I have with it, is the author seems to over-use some phrases, such as a 'great-deal-of'. The story itself is amusing. Like many old tales of its like, it makes you think of life itself - why are we always at war with someone? Why are we so conscious of nationality, territory, etc.

You think this is just a charming story about rabbits, but just wait. Rabbit society can be brutal and survival can seem impossible. This is an excellent book for many ages, although there is some violence depicted. The characters are delightful (and some very wicked) and the world from the perspective of rabbits seems huge and even frightening. This is a thrilling adventure story that can entertain a wide audience.
