I had a complicated relationship with this book. At times I loved it and at others I struggled to connect with the story. This is the third Taylor Jenkins Reid book I’ve read and I love her storytelling. She really has a gift for telling the tales of complicated relationships and transporting the reader to another time period. This story tells about a rock band in the 1970s. Didn’t live up to the hype. I believed the contentious relationships in the bad but the ONE in the band I never truly believed. And the big reveal at the end felt pretty cliched and overwrought.
Kind of made me think of what was going on with Fleetwood Mac while they were recording Rumors. I much preferred her book The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
