What Members Thought
I tend to avoid WWII and Holocaust books; however, this one had been recommended with such high regard that I couldn't help but pick it up. Although I was not always happy with some of the stylistic choices, it certainly did not matter. I finished the book in a heartbeat and was able to learn about an entirely new facet of the Holocaust. This along with an introduction to the most amazing women, I could not put it down.

This was a difficult book to read. World War II was such an awful time and the three women featured in this book all went through unthinkably harsh times. It is based on real women and real events. I was sad the whole way through the book, but felt it was important to finish the stories of these women.

I had already read this book in book format, but it was chosen as my book clubs January selection so I picked up the audio version to refresh my memory. The audio was great. Three voice actors played the 3 narrators of the book making for an enjoyable listening experience.
