Just started and may be a little slow going until I get prom weekend behind me........

I started this book during a period of time when I had a lot of activity going on and my mind was racing trying to keep up with my hands. I felt the book had a very calming effect. It was pleasant to read and sort-of quieting.

This was an enjoyable book to read, however at times I was feeling a little bored with the writing. The characters really did not come alive for me until the end. I really liked Victoria and the McPheron brothers. They opened their home and their hearts to young Victoria and I don't ever remember reading about characters like them. I absolutely loved this novel that features the interwoven lives of several people living in the west. Once I got into the book, I couldn't put it down, and I liked seeing how all of the stories would be woven together. I can't wait to read Eventide, the sequel. ...more
