What Members Thought
This is a very dark, violent book that is so well written it didn't detract me from the story. Set in Canada in the early days of the Jesuit involvement with the indigenous tribes, the story is told from the POV of three characters in alternating chapters. There's a rich cast of characters, a clash of cultures and beliefs, and the ongoing warfare between the various tribes (Wendat, Iriquois, Huron and others).
