This is a wonderful little book of poems. In the author’s own words in a great time of need. The author has written these beautiful words during the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020. I was so excited when my manager came to deliver my mail into my hands from the post office box and she informed me that a parcel had arrived. I was surprised to see that author Louise has blessed me with three of her books, all personally autographed for me!!!! Kindness touches and moves my heart. Thank you, Louise! God speaks in different ways. Amazing!
I got to download "Your Words" on the promo day from the author. I am so glad I did! As a lover of the art of photography, not only did I enjoy viewing the pictures (especially the flowers); I also like how the author poured out her heart on paper. Reading the poems felt so real, as if the author was in ones mind. She literally put into words what many would like to say or are looking for the right words for - especially in these trying times. Louise Bélanger's Your Words is full of dramatic monologues, compressed storytelling, and alluring sonnets. One does not have to necessarily like poetry to appreciate the artistry in these narratives. This book lived up to its description. It is indeed filled with beautiful pictures, thought-provoking poems, and delightful stories. I am glad I was introduced to this book. I love how the author drew on personal experience to craft the poems. I also enjoyed her creative storytelling. The book serves as a light at a time when so much is going on in the world. It provides much encouragement to keep us moving forward and is a great reminder to keep our eyes looking upward.
