Rarely am I able to describe books in one word but I can do so with Out: kaleidoscopic.
Natsuo Kirino is a popular writer in Japan and I’ve wanted to get into her work for some time. Personally, I had wanted to start with Grotesque but I saw this at a bookstore for a reasonable price and figured What the heck?

Killer Japanese noir-crime fiction! Murder in the lower class burbs leads four female work-mates on a very, very dark journey...Very intense...many characters but each fully fleshed out...Very well written; each chapter takes the pov of that focused character (only in the third person)...I started to question the ending, but I realized this was a Japanese novel, and it ends as such (I won't spoil)...One Point: This book is 400 pgs long, but reads as if it was twice as long! It's very, very dense

The husband is murdered (he deserves it), but the wife now thinks "what do I do with the body?" She phones a female factory co-worker who sets the ball in motion employing other co-workers to dispense with the body. That is not the only crime here. We are visited with stalkers, loan sharks and other undesirables.
