This is a classic Swedish police procedural. I read it because it was named as the professors favourite crime series in a Great Courses audiobook, and because Kurt was reading it on the Point Blank podcast. It's a current book in the Point Blank group.

I was interested in these books because I heard they were not just mystery novels, but also socio-political critiques. There might be some of that in Roseanna but not enough that takes it beyond dull procedural. It wasn't bad but it wasn't what I was looking for. Maybe later novels carry more of that tone and maybe I'll pick another up some day.
