This is a wonderful book. The story line is like no other I've ever read. Rania is an Iraqi girl who from a very young age had to learn how to survive death, hunger and the war. With her whole family dead, and with a lack of means to provide for herself she is forced to make an awful decision that will help her very precarious situation, but will damage her spirit forever. Hunter is a US Marine, lost his parents when he was a teenager, and because of that he joins the military right after high s

Not your run of the mill romance. The first part of this was slowwww. But I stuck with it because I had read great reviews. Once Hunter is introduced it picks up. I liked the dynamic between them. They were both in places physically and emotionally they did not want to be, did not have any reason to trust each other, but they did. This is worth getting though the first part to get to the what I thought was the good stuff.
