This story was enjoyable. The writing was very good. Rania was believable, even though I was a little leery at first, wondering how the author was going to pull off writing about an Iraqi woman in the middle of a war zone. I thought she did a pretty good job. I particularly liked how she had Hunter and Rania learn to communicate with one another. It felt authentic. The trouble for me came at the end of the story. When Derek and company show up to save Hunter. First off-- where did Derek come fro

Could not put WOUNDED down last night.
5 stars for Smexy
4.5 Stars for Love it or Leave it
*These are my ratings. Self purchased and In for review at http://www.bookcrack.com
Would be 5 Stars with some minor tweaking, mostly if the ending didn't sneak up on me the way that it did. (Satisfying! Just stealthy--you'll see.)
Haven't been invested to this degree or been this captivated by a tormented and healing love story since Dark Duet.

I enjoyed this story SO much! It was such a beautiful story of love that crosses all boundaries. In a war-torn country, two people, Hunter and Raina, cross paths. Both have known deep heartache and loss and have see much in their short lives. I got lost in their world, watching their love grow and blossom, worrying every second that something, or someone, would come in to destroy it all before it could ever be fully realized. This is the first book I have read by Wilder, and it certainly won't b

More like 3.5 stars...
I'm a huge fan of Jasinda's novels but I found that I couldn't really connect with these characters and the storyline. Some of it was just a bit too slow for me. ...more

I loved this story! I wasn't sure about it at first with the backdrop of war, but this is so much more than a story about war. It is a story about love and how we are all in this life together and how we choose to deal with what we are dealt. Rania and Hunter were beautiful together. Their patience and love was something everyone in this world needs.
