I'm surprised I liked this book so much considering it's not my usual flirty, dirty read. The relationships between the characters gave me a lot of hope that this page-turner had a hea. I'm still on edge about whether or not I'd read this book again and if that happens in the future I'm inclined to bump it up a rating. One thing I know for sure is that I absolutely want to pick up A Song For Julia and The Last Hour because I'm really invested in these characters and the author's unique storytell

Heart wrenching and full of that wonderful angst. This was a beautiful YA romance addressing real and painful social issues threatening young love in America. Alex and Dylan's relationship is tested constantly throughout the story as the challenges of coming from different backgrounds and social classes and post traumatic stress disorder from the Army and war are working over-time to tear them apart. Written from an interesting way of alternating points of view, the author seamlessly took us thr

I don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review for this book. It was so good, so raw, so gritty, and so incredibly real. Sheehan-Miles writes realistic characters who have flaws but you can look past them because you fall in love with them. When I first read this I had to put it down for a few days because it was really hitting home. This is a beautifully written story about courage, life, love and redemption. This story will tug on your heartstrings and stay with you long after finishing. I fell in love with Alex and Dylan's story and Charles Sheenan-Miles did an excellent job at alternating POV through both characters!

THIS REVIEW DOES NOT CONTAIN DOUCHEY SOILERS!!! I actually listened to the audio of this one, and it was fun that the author chose to use alternating male and female narrators.I've read three Thompson Sisters books now, but not in the order in which they were intended. It was entertaining to revisit the characters I loved in the other two (A Song For Julia and The Last Hour), in particular, Ray Sherman. I found the heroine of this book, Alex, a lot ore enjoyable near the end of the book, but Dyl
