Loved this paranormal romance between a Pyte (vampire) and human. Madison and Ephraim's story was sweet (and sexy!). The story had a good plot and enough twists and turns to keep me interested and entertained. Also, this story is quite humorous, R.L. Mathewson writes some great one liners for the characters and there was almost always something in the dialogue that had me giggling, but didn't take away from the seriousness of some situations. A great twist on vampires. This book had a good story line and great character development. I hope the story continues for Chris, his character grew on me.

2021- It's been a long time since I've read this book. I listened to the audio this time and enjoyed it. The narrator was good.
I miss this RL Mathewson. I miss the more somber side of her writing. I miss being able to tell the difference between a NFH book and a Pyte book. I DO NOT miss the slapstick one liners, the overuse of the word "really", The overuse of sarcasm, the OTT animosity between MCs for the majority of the book.
I wish so much, that this author would lay off the NFH schtick bein ...more
