5 Slamming Stars
Be prepared, this book is going to make me gush, I mean I am going to ramble and gush throughout this whole review. This is one of those books that just gets me, and boy did it get me good right in the heart, right in the gut. Some books you just read, love them, easy 5 stars and some touch you a lot deeper, that is how I feel about Slammed. It was so emotional and yet so uplifting.

Get out your tissues for this one. It was such a gut wrenching story. I must have sobbed at least a dozen times. It really is a beautiful story.
While I enjoy myself some Fifty Shades, it was so wonderful to see how literary love can be filled with intense heart-pounding passion, and still be clean. This is a story about two young adults, both who have endured major tragedy and heartbreak in their personal lives (have some tissue on hand), and find solace in each other.

I AM OVERWHELMED! I can’t begin to tell you how OVERWHELMED I am. I have just been on an unbelievable emotional roller coaster. In fact, I think I’m still on it! This one is going to take me a few days to get over.

Edit: Second read and I have mixed feelings about a book that was once an all time favourite. Isn't it weird how what we love and enjoy changes so much overtime. I still enjoyed it but it doesn't feel up there with my top books anymore and that makes me feel kind of sad. Maybe it's also because I experienced a loss like the ones mentioned in the book only a few years after initially reading it. Loss does change us after all.

This is the second time I've read Will and Layken's story. I read Colleen Hoover's novel immediately after she self-published it on Amazon. I had seen others talking about it over the internet and found the synopsis interesting. Loved Slammed. Great story with characters who have a lot of depth. Truly enjoyed this story. Goind to pick up part II, Point of Retreat.
Slammed is a beautiful story of a young couple in love infused with a good amount of poetry!
Layken is a sensible girl - well most of the times. Will cooper on the other hand is a caring guy. Both have suffered huge losses and it helps them in a way that is so beautiful.
Heart breaking moments, romance, drama - this book has it all.
