Sitting here with tears streAming down my cheeks. Tour de force book, bravo. This book has it all, love, loss, laughter wrapped in a beautifully written young adult book that is meaningful to all ages. Wow, definitely one of the top best reads of the year for me. Buy it, own it read it!

The highest praise I can bestow upon Slammed and #2 in the series Point of Retreat (paperback/Kindle) is that they left me with the same kind of jaw dropping awe, passion and sense of complete reader satisfaction that I've only felt with two other contemporary books so far in 2012: John Green's The Fault in Our Stars (which had me choking back tears and hugging myself on an airplane) and Rachel Cohn & David Levithan's Dash & Lily's Book of ...more

I can't begin to tell you how much I loved this book! I cried and laughed through the whole thing.

I can't stop thinking about this book! I have told all my friends that read, that they must read it! I am in love with Will and Lake. I love the relationship between Lake, Kel, and Julia. I love Will's and Caulders relationship! The Avett Brothers quotes, I adore, because I love them! The poetry blows me away! This book has gone to the top of my favorites!!! Slammed is a beautiful story of a young couple in love infused with a good amount of poetry!

Layken is a sensible girl - well most of the times. Will cooper on the other hand is a caring guy. Both have suffered huge losses and it helps them in a way that is so beautiful.

Heart breaking moments, romance, drama - this book has it all.
