I have to say it. I sorta felt like I was cheating on Beau when I started reading this book. I fell in love with Beau in the Vincent Boys, and I loved his hot bad/good boy ways. But now, if I had to choose, it would be a difficult decision. Sawyer was really sweet, but rather dull in the first book. But oh my, not in this one. He got flustered and jealous. After reading The Vincent Boys I wasn’t sure how I would feel about The Vincent Brothers because I so loved Beau and Ashton, and not that I didn’t care for Sawyer, but he was lacking that sexiness for me in Boys that Beau more than provided. Hi, I was DEAD WRONG! Told from Sawyer Vincent and Lana McDaniel’s (Ashton’s cousin…remember her from the first book?), this is one hell of a steam train! Apparently, all Sawyer needed was his match, literally to spark, because this had hotter moments than Boys did…hello tent scene! :)

This story picks up a few months after The Vincent Boys ends. Sawyer may have lost the girl of his dreams to Beau, but he is not giving up without a fight. Determined to enjoy his last summer before leaving for college, he thinks Lana is just the ticket for biding his time while he waits for Ashton to come back around. Lana has had a major makeover. No longer the sweet and innocent cousin of Ashton Gray – she’s made some serious style changes and is on a mission. Convince Sawyer Vincent that she’s the girl for him. Small snag – she’s played second fiddle to everyone in her life always, and she’s sick of it. She doesn’t want that with Sawyer.

Sawyer and Lana have all the passion he was sorely lacking with Ashton…and then some. At first, that’s all Sawyer thinks it is – a superficial passion. He’s certainly doesn’t mean it, but he’s not all that respectful of Lana’s feelings. Come to find out, it’s because she challenges him. And he doesn’t know what to make of that. I think Abbi was super successful in making this story so realistic and also relatable. Sawyer is so busy trying to fix the past, that he isn’t focused on the future that’s right in front of him. Because of that, he pushes away the girl that he is actually IN love with, rather than the girl he’s always loved.

Another great aspect of this story is the storyline revolving Beau and his “father.” It was a twist in the first book that was a huge game-changer for both Beau and Sawyer, but it made for some added intensity in this book. Throw in the family issues surrounding Lana, and you have lots of drama, angst, but also a great story of self-realization…which I just love. Lana deserves better for herself and I was so very happy that she stood her ground and demanded what she deserved. I think all too often young girls deal with less than the best. She knew what she wanted and wasn’t going to take anything other than that, even if it meant walking away. Kudos to her. And thankfully, Sawyer manned up and realized he was being a huge idiot all along ;).

Gotta shout out, too, that I love “Crazy Girl” by the Eli Young Band and so Abbi throwing that in there made me smile. Now when I hear that song I think of Sawyer Vincent. YUM!

Overall, this book was fantastic! I’ve said it before, Abbi knows how to write these kinds of dynamic characters without all the fluff. They are believable and fun and sooooo sexy! I give this book a 4.5 and highly recommend it! I would LOVE to see more of these characters for sure!

-- The tent…oh the tent scene; not much to say here until you read it. But just know it’s so hot, and you’ll probably find yourself sweating, fanning, not breathing, or breathing heavy!
Sawyer and Lana’s moment in the condo after he finds her – perfect amount of love, drama, tears, etc. Just wonderful!
-- Oh, and I’d be remiss to not mention the cover! How gorgeous is that?!

Proof of the sexiness that is Sawyer Vincent. Here’s one of his yummy apologizes for acting like an ass to Lana…hard not to forgive that, right?

Damn. I hate writing not so great reviews, but I want to be honest with those who read them. I really enjoyed The Vincent Boys #1 but part 2 just wasn't for me. I think Sawyer did too much of a 180 for me and he kind of turned all Christian Grey to me. I'm sorry. It just wasn't for me. ...more

Such a great addition to The Vincent Boys!!! Abbi Glines you are one in a million. I adored this book, it was so perfectly perfect. I can't describe how much I loved it with words...I would hug you 50 million times if I could just because you wrote such amazing characters and shared their story!

I loved this book so much that I am going to re-read the first one! I fell in love with all the characters more with each page. Sawyer was so HOT and Lana was adorable! I love/hate these types of books though... Just when I fall heads over heels in love the story ends! I just wish Abbi Glines would continue till each character is 100 years old!!?? ;)
