5 Stars. I am overwhelmed by the feelings this book has provoked within me. Sadness, grief, loss. A beautifully written story of love and lies between Caleb & Olivia who, in the end, have a separate destiny. A bittersweet ending. I honestly do not know how to properly review The Opportunist. But, without a doubt, it was outstanding.
UNPREDICTABLE PAGE TURNER
Very unique characters & read. Buzz around this book well justified. Hard to classify into any one category. Romance, suspense, drama, it has it all. Read in one day. Excellent writing peppered with spicy tidbits of humor that really stuck with me:
*She's from Texas, I said, as if that explained her behavior...*
*He was like a jalapeno: bright and smooth, but dangerously hot. A small part of me wanted to bite him.*

Completely blown away by this story. Completely blown away by this author. You won't stop thinking about it. You won't be able to function for days... weeks... maybe months. I don't like bad words (Ok, I lied. I love them.) But I try to behave and not use them often... but this story is a complete and total mindfuck of epic proportions. You'll curse. Out loud. Probably in front of small children with zero regard for their welfare because this book will just do that to you.

Olivia Kaspen is self-sabotage dipped in crazy, wearing vodka perfume. And, I love her.
I love to see a gorgeous, smart, vivacious main character with issues so heavy it could ground a 747.
Caleb Drake is smart, charming, popular, gorgeous. And, I hate him. That's right, I hate the dashing main character. WHHOOOAAAA!!!!! This book was fanfukintastic!!!!!! If you are hoping for your happily ever after, look somewhere else, like the kids section. This is real life! Won't find it here.
Ok, so Olivia is awesome! She has a witty personality full of sarcasm(we can relate) but, she has done bad things in her life although, haven't we all??? This book made me laugh, cry, and get utterly pissed at the main characters. I hated it, I loved it, and I haven't stopped thinking about it. Even though deeply flawed, and sometimes downright scary, Olivia is real. She's a girl you probably grew up with, and this makes some of her choices easier to swollow. I grew to love her, and want to punch her in the face simutaneously. Probably much like Caleb did. This isn't ice cream, sunshine, and daisies. this is heartbreaking and in a very honest way

Could not put this down!!!! and like others have said... I'm still working on wrapping my head around this! I feel for Olivia.... boy was she damaged goods...but Caleb was too! They were a train wreck! yeah I can't completely articulate my feelings about this book... but I liked it! A lot

Edgy raw twists and turns. Reread twice because of complicated subtle plot line . Well done and can't wait for the next ride.

This book is completely unpredictable. Every page pulls you in a new direction. Great read.
