Wow, I am completely speechless over this book!
I have only just finished reading this book and had to write a review now so that I won't forget just how I am feeling at this moment.
I've loved some books over the years but I have to say this is one of the most amazing books i've ever read.
I have gone through every emotion over the past couple of days reading this book and only this morning had a bit of a cry whilst trying to talk to my sister in law about it.......it made me that emotional.

I am still thinking about this book so I am upping the 4.5 stars to 5.... This first time author wrote a beautifully fast paced story that slowly drew me in and captured my attention until I read the last page. This story was differetan unique and very satisfying! I have to start off by saying that audio narrator can make or break a book they read. I listen to a lot of my books because, well, I can do so much while "reading." The amount of hours I've put in this year is huge and I even have favorite narrators. However, the reader of this audio book left me cold. Her timing was off and, honestly, turned me off of the first half of the book. It took me that long to get used to her voice and the poor inflections. Actually it's 4,5 stars
I can't believe that I love this book.
First I thought that it would be some kind of foolish book with a horny boy and lot of sex scene and other stuff but NOT was that.
I can't say that the story was original, but it was well written and I can't put the book down, I read it in one night. It was just WOW!
You guys must to read this book, trust me, you don't want to miss this.

I really enjoyed this one! On the Island is a simple, ridiculously easy and quick read with a compelling story line. I do suspect all the hype might have prevented me from adoring On the Island as much as I might have without it, but it was still a solid read and I anticipate a movie will be made of this one, if it isn’t already in the works.

I love survival stories. But this one was over-written and predictable. We know immediately that the two survivors will connect--lots of talk about underwear, for one thing. The story is told in alternating chapters from each protagonist, but both voices are identical. Events happen without rhyme or reason or consequences--bat bites, sharks, a skeleton, cancer scares, dengue fever--but it's just one episode after another with no story arc.
