This book (a group of autobiographical stories) has incredible depth and extends itself far beyond your expectations.
You feel as if you are traveling with Erasmo from Texas to New York City, and you want so much for him to find lasting love. The glimpses he gives of his first gay relationship, through his worrisome traipsing around NYC while remaining single, to the possibility of a true lasting relationship strike you where your heart beats. You get to laugh, share his discouragement, mentally encourage him during his most vulnerable and disillusioning moments, become aroused, listen to poetic lyrics and cheer him on. And, oh, there are some of the best lines ever in this book that will inevitably just leave you in awe.
A wonderful book.
