In addition to wild hilarity, there is a closeted gay man in this book, which is not easily susceptible to description. Heartbreak and humor abound. As with Ms. Bechdel's other books, there is no shortage of plot, or, at least, something is always happening. This book is unpredictable in a great way. A truly enjoyable experience. Much stomach-jiggling laughter. You care about the characters no matter how silly they are and also recognize how internally tortured they can be. I like this type of entertainment, for which the author has a very real talent.
