This book has absolutely nothing to do with LGBT or alternative literature issues except that the first name of the author is "Gay." But this book was recommended to another gay goodreads member who is a friend of mine. SEE WHAT I MEAN? This is a beautiful and gruesomely honest autobiographical work by an author who has been a superb NY Times and Esquire journalist for many years. I highly recommend it.
