I had never heard of this series going in and I'm kind of glad that I went in blind. My Soul to Lose is a prequel to the Soul Screamers series and introduces the character of Kaylee. What we learn fairly quickly is that Kaylee suffers from panic attacks. But they aren't normal panic attacks. WOW, for sucha a tiny thing it kept me in suspense! Kaylee has "panic attacks", sure thats what we'll call them..after one incident sends her packing to the psych ward, she must face that these panic attacks may be more than they seem.

.. Short story that tells about Kaylee's stay in a hospital psych ward. I think you should read Book #1: My Soul to Take prior to reading this prequel. I was annoyed at Kaylee's aunt and uncle in this book, knowing what I do from the first book. This story didn't really answer any of my outstanding questions.

This was a very interesting start to the series.
I am getting ready to start book 1, but thought that I would start with this prequel. Having not read any of the books yet I feel like this short story gives us a good glimpse into the beginning of Kaylee's story.
This prequel definitely makes me want to continue the series. It shows Kaylee being hospitalized and confused. And I want to know more!I liked it. ...more
