This was a retelling of And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. Although I had never read ATTWN, in which this book was based, I still enjoyed the story. I am a fan of closed-circle mysteries (I think that's the term that applies to this story), so that helps, but I just needed more from this story that a YA novel can't provide. I was pleasantly surprised by the gore factor and I didn't guess the ending. So those are points in favor of this story.

What to say. What to say. I actually really liked this book. It follows so many cliches that are present in teen type horror movies. I thought it was great. Just what I was looking for.
For the entire book you follow Meg's point of view as she is dragged along by her best friend Minnie (M and M) to a teen party on an island for the weekend. It is a must go to party as they were invited by Jessica, one of thee most popular girls and school and Minnie's former best friend.

SHHHH!
Don't spread the word!
Three-day weekend. Party at White Rock House on Henry Island.
You do NOT want to miss it.

I read this last night, and although this isn't the most terrifying book that I've read, I still took my baseball bat with me on bed. Just in case.
Plot Summary
Ten teenagers were invited to a three weekend party in an isolated island by a popular girl in their school. Suddenly, they all start to die one by one. Some of them will learn the truth of why they're invited and their conne ...more

Love, love, love this book! Such a thriller from beginning to end with so many wonderful elements. TEN is an And Then There None for teens. Each character was distinct. There was no, 'Wait, which one was she?' in this story. Though some characters were a little stereotypical, it wasn't over-the-top or tasteless. They all served a purpose in the plot.
The mystery is obviously the best part in the book. The reader is left guessing until the end, and what an ending! The only unfortunate part is that ...more

Was good enough to finish in a day, but it was also somewhat predictable. I don’t mind that it isn’t the most literary style book, yet if you are picky about that you may want to skip.
Ten teens are invited to a party hosted by a person, who you don’t turn down. Yet once there the teens get picked off one by one. The characters are not too fleshed out. The setting is given a better description than the characters.
