Few authors evoke both merciful and malevolent feelings towards a single character. Such traits are hard to develop for one soul; the urge to reach through the pages and strangle a woman of noble blood, and then within only chapters, weep for the same woman's ruin. However, The King's Heart, by Lezlie Word Tyson is that rare find. Throughout its pages, Lady Cornella, the protagonist, bears the burdens of hate and love from her reader, descriptively defined by Tyson.
