I was not expecting to like this book so much, but it continued to draw me in as the world continued to be built and the characters became more in depth. I only wish it had been longer! I am looking forward to the next installation as soon as it is released in February. I had not read the prequel, and am almost glad as that allowed for a me to read this book with no preconceived notion of the characters or world.

This was fun! I'm really interested in the store and how the romance would progress. It was super sci-fi heavy--which I was expecting, but it made the audiobook a little difficult for me. I think I might have enjoyed this one even more if I had physically read it. The narrator was pretty good too and I'd probably listen to other books read by her.

This is a slow-burn, "build as the series goes" romance. I wasn't completely sold on the one romance we have though. Why?
