I really wanted to like this novel, but just couldn't get myself to enjoy it. I didn't like the constant changing of perspectives it was like being on a merry go round. One minute you're seeing things from Joe's eyes then the next some random Navajo Singer. Additionally the author was not giving an in depth enough description of certain Navajo rituals.
