The Hobbit is was a fantastic book to read not just because of the amazing adventure the reader is led on, but there are still lessons to be learned from The Hobbit. As the reader follows Bilbo Baggins on his adventures with the dwarves and Gandalf the Wizard, they are led on a thrilling journey through a many challenges. We see little Bilbo transform from a rather clumsy and average Hobbit into a hero that saves his friends many times.

The hobbit by J.R.R.Tolkien was overall a really good book. I really enjoyed the deep imagery used throughout the novel, It really painted the setting in my head for better understanding the area. The one part of the book i didn't enjoy was the characters there were so many discussed and not all had time to develop into a real character worth caring for. don't get me wrong the main ones are amazing. ...more

This book was amazing and read very quickly. The character development showed how greed plays a major role in a person's life. Bilbo Baggins is the perfect story of someone going from zero to hero, while Thorin is an example of someone letting greed get to their head. Overall this book is a classic story and will live on for ages. ...more
