"Every man dies. Not every man really lives." -Braveheart
The meaning behind this book was something everyone can relate too and that's what made me give it 5/5 stars! I loved that even though Louisa was trying her hardest to show a man (who had thought he lost everything) the reasons he should keep living; she ended learning herself the meaning of life, love and belief in herself.
Although the ending isn't the "happily ever after" ending. I thought it was written the way it should have been! I ap ...more

This is an absolutely unforgettable, life-affirming love story about Louisa Clark, a caretaker, and Will Traynor, who has been left a quadriplegic after an accident two years before.
Slowly, we see the bond between them grow and strengthen, as she implores him to find reasons to go on living while he urges her to attack life with the kind of gusto he did when he was healthy and active.

I loved everything about this book although I have to say I was initially turned off by the cover I thought it was a Valentine's Day book. It is a book mainly about two very different people from very different backgrounds. Lou, who works in a cafe, looses her job and is desperate to find a job and Will, a quadraplegic who before his injury was a very powerful, active and successful man. Their lives become entwined when Lou reluctantly takes a job as his caretaker. The story is told mostly from

When I finished this novel, I didn’t want to review it; I wanted to reread it. I absolutely LOVED it. What I loved the most about this book was how real the story and characters are. This novel grabs you from the start and will not let you set it down until the last page is turned. It will have you crying, laughing and feeling blessed. The small kindnesses and the sacrifices each one made for the other brings moments of joy and moments of deep sadness. This book teaches us what's truly important

With the exception of Patrick, I found the characters tolerable.

The characters were so real. The story told so well I put myself in everyone's shoes and made me think of what I would do if I were them. Louisa takes a job taking care of a quadriplegic Will. Will who spent most of his life doing risky activities became a quad crossing the street. Talk about irony!!! Will gave his parents 6 months more of his life before he heads to Switzerland to commit suicide. I felt differently about that in the beginning towards the end.

This book brought out a lot of feelings for me! It makes you wonder what you would do in that particular situation. It definitely was an emotional roller coaster, that's for sure.
