This was a thoroughly enjoyable book. I had never heard of Percy Fawcett before but many of Gramm's references to books, i.e. Conan Doyle's The Lost World, or King Solomon's Mines were familiar to me. So much of this has been regurgitated on tv shows that it's a bit hard to believe that even these are based in real history.
