A 1.5 star read for me!

I was actually looking forward to this after I read its synopsis. For it said...

Turns out, he's got a secret or two that he's not telling Courtney. And it has everything to do with why they broke up, why they can't get back together, and how, in spite of it all, this couple is destined for each other.

Excuse me if the first thing that popped in my head was "AW YEAH MAKE UP SEX" and i was looking forward to it but all i got was boring drama. just kidding about the sex pa A 1.5 star read for me!

Anyways, Two-Way Street is jam-packed with drama and absolute absurdity. The main character, Courtney, was all that I hated about a YA contemporary woman. Whiny and immature. She excelled in both of those things. Although i did feel for her heartbreak that turns out to be completely unaccounted for, I didn't really want to be in her head so I did dread reading her POV.

YES, THIS BOOK IS AN ALTERNATING POV and also, alternating time-frame.

Jordan was a little bit bearable but only by a smidge. He went from being such a douchebag who loved to manipulate girls to someone who actually cared about someone. As the story builds up and things get ugly, you'd think the characters will turn into people who are wiser? WRONG.

I do give Ms. Barnholdt points for sticking with how teenage brains work but she could have made them more likeable. Even the secondary characters we're barely bearable for me. I was down to give this book second chance towards the last quarter. I was hesitant but I finished it yet the book did not deliver a satisfying ending for me. Although i guess it was "happy".

OMG guys I'm not usually this harsh. I mean, I really love my drama but this was on a whole 'nother level of annoying. Surprisingly, I did finish it and did so in a couple of hours. I didn't think I wanted to take more. if you really love contemporary, I'd say give this a shot. It's quite a short read and people have different levels of tolerance.
