A beautiful modern fairy-tale, wonderfully Jewish, and a memorable take on intergenerational trauma.
I started this when I was sick and having a tough time concentrating on audiobooks, so it was a bit of a rough go for me. I don't think that was the book's fault- while there was a lot of lead-up and backstory, the pacing felt good to me and the story felt like it swept me along.
