I think I'm too old to enjoy highschool love affairs with "sympathetic" rich kid/poor kid dynamics. This is probably earth shattering if you're a teenager. Just not for me

At first, I really did not enjoy the writing. It was choppy and felt immature and unconsidered. Then I kept reading and felt attached to the writing and realised that the writing slowly became more complex with the growth of the characters. I think this was a really emotional tone and apt to some of the feelings I felt as a young adult entering adulthood.
