I really adore the way Patrick White describes some things. There were just times when he was truly brilliant in some turns of phrases and those were the bits of gems I continued to look for as I listen for this 27 hours long audiobook. But, really, I don't understand his stories... I listen only for those little moments of brilliance because when they came, they really do brighten up my day and those phrases stuck with me all day long.
