Since I sing in a choir myself, I really enjoyed the choir aspects of this most recent Phryne Fisher mystery. And I am so very glad that our conductor is nothing like the first 2 conductors described in this!
I became quite lost in the Ratcliffe part of the mystery and couldn’t really work out what was happening at all - I was listening to it on audiobook, so my attention probably wandered at a (or several) critical point so that I missed something vital and then couldn’t connect the dots without ...more

Phryne Fisher is at it again. Solving murders, joining in revelries, encountering gorgeous men, and this time, a little bit of matchmaking. Well, the matchmaking sounds like a lot of work because the guy was a little more than clueless. Well-tensioned plot with unguessable ending (not even for our intrepid detective), Murder & Mendelssohn is a lovely romp through Melbourne streets.
