Will you forgive me if I tell you the ending?

I didn't know this was about a missing girl when I first read the book because it wasn't in the synopsis on goodreads and I tend not to bother with reading the blurb if I've read the synopsis on this website. To be honest I really didn't like Pearl and I really don't like reading books with any form of pedophilia, which seemed to be every man in this book aside from Murray and Pearls on and off boyfriend whos name I can't remember.
