Can love conquer all?

This question seems to appear in the blurbs off most of the new paranormal novels, and seeing it on the back of this book did not make me want to read the book any quicker, in fact, it made me groan in frustration.

Violet was once again a character that I absolutely adored, she has her faults and slightly annoys me at times, but her character is nigh on perfect. Her constant struggle when around Lincoln, her soul-mate, can be felt through the pages of this book. Violet is still a little dumb for me, she deliberately ignores the truth at times and it only serves to make her look selfish or stupid, like the belief that her mother sold out to go to heaven and leave her alone with her heartbroken dad. Some things throughout Endless were blatantly obvious but Violet refused to see them, it is my only problem with this series as a whole.

The love triangle in Endless finally comes to a head. I have been team Phoenix from the beginning, and although it was probably “correct” the way Shirvington went with this, up until it happened there was still no clear winner in my mind.

Shirvington’s writing is once again amazing, the mythology intertwined in this series adds so much to the story, her mythology surrounding Angels and the inclusion of Lilith is fantastic and adds a realistic edge to this story for those of us who have grown up knowing the stories of the Bible and Lilith.

The writing when it came to Violet’s emotions in Endless was amazing; at one point she goes completely numb from the pain of her separation from Lincoln and I was there with her, it wasn’t overdone yet it was deeper than any emotion I’ve ever read a character going through.

Endless engrossed me from the first page and, as this series has a tendency to do, refused to release me until the last page. I was left with a book hangover that lasted a week and my mind is still on this fantastic series. The way Shirvington ended it left me wanting more although she resolved it in a way that I have no extra questions if we weren’t to get a fifth book.

It would make my year to know that a fifth book would be coming in this series, because Violet doesn’t get her happy ending as it stands now. Endless as a book was fantastic, The Violet Eden Chapters as a series is phenomenal, even if this is the end Shirvington is on my radar for everything that she writes in the future.
